Day 7 Feb 15, 2024

Checkout time for Rijeka. We had a wonderful time visiting many friends there and sharing stories of how God loved them. Now onto another church in Varaždin. 

But first a small chat with the pastor of the Baptist Church in Karlovac on TV. He had a show that aired Monday nights on Christian topics. We were asked through Ivan who was connected to pretty much all of the evangelical churches in Croatia, to share our background and testimonies with a wider audience. Since education worked differently there, Pastor Ladislav Ruzicka was curious to hear about science from Christians and Ja ‘s connection with the pharmaceutical company in Zagreb. Time ran out quickly, and he invited us back next year to his church for further dialogue.

Once finished, we greeted the swans at the nearby river, gazed at the town from the castle hill and gobbled up more delicious pizzas. Then off to Varaždin. Sermon discussion that night was on sharpening your faith from II Kings 6. In this small group, there were people from Croatia, Ukraine, India, Brazil and the US sharing in English and Croatian. We wrapped up the evening with personal prayers and more food. What a wonderful picture of heaven.
