Day 10 Feb 18, 2024
We spent our last full day in Croatia worshipping with Crkva Emanuel Varaždin. Tono says the language of heaven is Spanish, but I think it might be Croatian. The believers here were spirit-filled praising the many names of God. Our churches were separated by eight time zones, but the services were similar. Praise songs and hymns, offering, announcements and sermon. We talked briefly about our testimonies and visit to Croatia translated by Dalija. Danijel preached on forgiveness, as the sermon series worked through the Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6.
Next up, Croatian kava i kolachi refreshments. We visited with church members we met on Friday. Dalija hoped that we’d return and make her proper Thai food. Then off to lunch with Danijel, Ksenia and restless kiddos, final “boks” and head toward Zabreb. We prayed for next year’s team that will have the privilege and blessing of a trip to Croatia.
After checking into our room near the airport, we strolled around the town as we did with Josh and Niki two years ago, with a slight detour to Teva Pharmaceuticals, a branch of Ja’s work. And an extra passport screening by the policija. We will be home after 20 hours through Amsterdam and Detroit. Thank you for your prayers, joining us as we share our Croatian adventures.
